The only craft I have come across using Reeds is a very popular one, the making of Brighid's Crosses.
More popular than reeds are Rushes for making the crosses and sometimes i wonder if nGetal should be for Rushes instead.
Making of Brighid crosses is for wrapping up prayers, receiving prayers, and for calling fpr protection from Brighid.
Some mothers have picked reeds to surround a baby's cot for protection against the fairies of other spirits taking the baby away, or swapping the baby for one less healthy.
